After looking at larger universities, Kelsey Randhawa of Lexington, Kentucky, landed on Kenyon because she craved intimate class discussions and access to superb professors. The beautiful campus didn't hurt, either. "The nature trails and country roads are perfect for running after a hard day in the classroom," says Kelsey, who competes on the cross country team at Kenyon. Despite her strong background in math and science, she declared a major in international studies after taking a course titled "Expansion of International Society." At Kenyon, Kelsey most values the relationships she has formed with her professors who, in turn, are able to write "highly personalized recommendation letters" for their students—something that will come in handy for Kelsey when she starts applying to law school.
