Hailing from the foggy city of San Francisco, California, Ikenna "Ike" Nwadibia knew he wanted to make Kenyon his "second home" after he visited campus for a Cultural Connections weekend. He was drawn to Kenyon, he says, for its diverse student body. "Kenyon is unique in that it attracts many different types of students, including me, from different parts of the country and even the world," he says. Recruited to play on the Lords basketball team, Ike decided to pursue a major in American Studies with a concentration in American Politics after taking a class on "America in the 1950s." After graduation, he hopes to parlay his academic interests and off-campus experiences—he held a summer internship with U.S. Senator Dick Durbin—into a political career.
